One day while strapping my baby in to the car seat, I realized the straps would not tighten. The bottom clip strap pulled right out. I was appalled. Apparently, the metal rod that hold that strap fell out (somehow). I've never cleaned the straps or removed them. I've used the car seat as intended with the base for my newborn. In my eyes, this rod should not just fall out. It could have been fatal for my baby if I had gotten into an accident that day and not realized she was not actually strapped in. Baby Trend customer service told me that "Upon inspection this portion of the seat was tampered with and was manually removed from the seat". I'm furious! I have 3 other kids who do not know or would not know how to remove that bar. Otherwise, they are basically accusing me of removing it myself.

Baby Trend is refusing to admit that it could have been pushed out through general use. I would assume they cannot afford a recall or do not want to assume the liability. I am just glad my baby is un-harmed. After reading reviews, I can see that I shouldn't expect any help from them to fix the issue or even take any responsibility and placing blame on the consumer.

Monday 2/25/19 we were involved in a car wreck with my infant son. Impact was made at about 50mph where the baby and car seat were located. My Baby Trend car seat saved my baby's life. Thank you Baby Trend!

We purchased the Baby Trend Secure Snap car seat along with the Baby Trend Cityscape Jogger. We wanted to be able to interchange the car seats so we didn't have to move the base or the baby. The car seat shows, "Use with any Baby Trend Snap Gear, Snap Fit and Snap Tech Stroller and any other Baby Trend stroller or jogger that accepts infant car seats." The jogger states, "The jogger accepts the included EZ-Flex Infant Car Seat and any other Baby Trend infant car seats". This is not true, the the jogger car seat does fit on the base of the secure snap car seat, however; the secure snap DOES NOT fit on the jogger base. When contacting the company, the response was they that the car seat does not fit, even though they advertise that it does. This is not the brand to buy if you want to interchange the car seats, unless you want to purchase another base.

We bought a Baby Trend car seat (model: CV88A46C) for our then-9-month-old daughter from our local Babies R Us in August 2016. It's a convertible, so it's supposed to last for several years to take your child from infant through toddler and small child. I noticed in early Oct 2018 that the chest buckle didn't close with a satisfying "click" anymore. We've never had a car accident and my almost-3-year-old is very relaxed in the car. A few days ago (10/15/18), the buckle didn't want to close at all and I looked more closely only to see that one side of it was COMPLETELY BROKEN! I can't even explain my horror to know that I had been driving around for 2 years with my baby and now toddler in a car seat with a defective chest buckle! (UPDATE: My 2-year-old then broke the buckle completely - as in, INTO TWO PIECES) simply by trying to close it the following day before our new car seat was installed.

So, I obviously wrote to the company immediately through their web form, including the manufacture date, serial number, model number, etc. I withheld my review in order to give them a chance to respond compassionately and professionally. Instead, some guy, Eric, wrote to me and didn't even have the most basic level of courtesy or decent customer service to address me by name or title. He said NOT A SINGLE WORD of apology or even the corporate cop-out of "we regret that you're having issues with our product". Nothing. Just said he could "search their inventory" but he needed more info from me. He then demanded ALL of the information I had already provided in my original message. And he said he needed a copy of my original receipt. For an item purchased in-store over 2 years ago. And one I had immediately registered through his company's website.

I provided a screengrab of the registration confirmation with all the requested info and photos of the damage over a couple of emails (where his responses were consistently terse and uncaring) and now have received no response. I filed a report with the CPSC. It was never my intention to get a refund (which is how he was acting). I just wanted them to CARE about a defective product meant to save the lives of babies. I'll never buy another product from this shady company again and will be sharing this review as far and wide as possible so that other parents can avoid trusting their children's lives to these people.

This company has nothing good about them. Their products suck. They refuse to do anything to help unless you're willing to spend money and refuse to even talk to you unless you give them your personal information... I'd give no stars if that was an option. Wishing I had never purchased from them???

Don't ever buy anything made by Baby Trend... If you have a warranty and your things do not work right so you call to get a replacement or whatever and they tell you the only thing the warranty covers is if you ship the car seat or playpen back to them and they can work on it and try to fix it so you either have to go without or buy new while they work on your already purchased things for God only knows how long. Don't know what happens if they can't fix it. They probably just send you back your old busted car seat and stuff. I will never in a million years buy another Baby Trend item. My son's things do not work right and they can not do anything for me unless I want my baby to go without and Or spend extra money just while I wait for a repair.

Ridiculous honestly you pay for a warranty but it's just ridiculous... I will never waste my money on these things again from them. I will not even give the playpen and car seat I have away. I'm going to burn them in fire pit. I believe if they do not work correctly they are not safe for our children. It takes two people to push the buttons on my playpen just to break it down or put it up car seat also to move the handles back and forth to get my son out takes two people... A 5 min process is a usual playpen. It takes me over an hour to put mine up or take it down by myself over an hour to bend my car seat handle down to get my son in and out by myself. Good thing I'm not a single mom with my son or I'd be **.

I was very excited when I saw this car seat jogger combo reasonably priced and would ship to an APO. I have been using the car seat for about 7 months but started having problems with it from the beginning. The first thing that happened was that the harness kept twisting. We had to continually take the car seat apart to fix this. At that point I noted that this seat is made out very thin toylike plastic and very thin styrofoam. I really can't see this thing being very protective. Over the last month or so the harness lock kept getting stuck and I had to struggle with it every time I placed the baby in it which is every day, multiple times a day. There were times when it seemed to be locked but then when I would get the baby out the harness would easily pull away without even pressing the button down. I just bought a Britax for $420 and it was worth every penny if it keeps my previous daughter safe!

I figured I should finally write a review since my daughter just turned one. I've been wanting to write a review since she was just a couple of months old, but I wanted to wait and see if I might change my mind. Lol. First off, I'm giving two stars instead of one *only* because my baby was able to fall asleep and stay asleep in the car seat. Everything else was terrible. It was always hard to click the sides down to release the handle (for getting baby out). It would just get stuck. The stroller looks like it would be amazing but NO! Do not let the cool features trick you! Although it was convenient to snap the car seat into the stroller, there were other problems. The front wheel wobbles if you go just a little bit fast. I found myself locking the front wheel and it helped a little but still annoying when turning.

Don't think you can jog with this stroller, otherwise you will probably hurt your baby and yourself. Once my daughter was big enough to just use the stroller without the car seat, I ran into more issues. The seat looks like you can adjust it but it doesn't adjust even with the adjustable straps. It leans back no matter how much you try to get it to stay put. I even tried to tie it with my hair tie, I was that desperate. My daughter would slide down in the seat and I could not do anything about it. Overall, it's just been a pain in the butt. I ask myself every day why I didn't just return it and get another. First time mom here???

I purchased the Zoe stroller to go with my car seat. The stroller would not lock properly and kept folding up on me when I was walking with my daughter then the front wheel started to come apart causing the stroller to not push correctly or at all. My daughter is only 2 months old so the stroller is still very new. I called baby trend and after 3 weeks and hours of holding was able to talk to somebody and then spent another week and half emailing pictures and questions back and forth along with sending my stroller back to them to find out they can't send me a new one but will refund the 129.00 for the stroller. I have been without a stroller pretty much since she was born and now I'm out my tax and shipping from the original purchase due to their default. Poor quality and very poor customer service.

I bought the Baby Trend expedition and I am very disappointed. The back wheels are warped (wobbly) making the stroller almost tip over, I can't jog with it as it starts going crazy and wanna tip over even when I'm walking sometimes. The tray in front of baby got damaged due to car seat sitting on top. Well if that's where the car seat goes then they should have some kind of protection on the tray so that doesn't happen. The undercarriage ripped in no time.

I've called Baby Trend numerous of times and they asked me to submit receipt and pictures and so I did and their response was that they can't do anything for me as it's wear and tear of me using the stroller. I would never buy from Baby Trend again after knowing that all this has happened to me and the stroller doesn't seem safe for my baby. All I wanted was for them to replace it for a new one but instead they wanna charge me for parts for the stroller. I think I paid enough for their product and they should stand behind their product and make their customers happy. They charge a lot of money for their strollers but they are built so cheap.
